Hi, I’m Rebecca Amstutz Whitestone
Doula and IBCLC
Our International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) are experienced in helping you meet your breastfeeding goals via video-based support. If you are a pregnant mom, we can help you feel well-prepared for breastfeeding, pumping, and answer any questions. If you have already delivered your baby, we will review your breastfeeding technique, schedule, assess your baby's latch, troubleshoot issues with milk supply (both low supply and oversupply), and answer any questions you may have.
Rebecca Amstutz Whitestone has long been interested in women's and reproductive healthcare. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in Pre-Medical Sciences and International and Community Development. She's worked primarily in nonprofit and childcare settings but was drawn to families welcoming babies. She trained as a doula in 2016 and as a lactation counselor in 2020.
In 2021, Rebecca and her husband welcomed their son with a difficult birth that led into a difficult breastfeeding experience, but Rebecca is grateful for this experience not just because of her son's emergence but also because it better enabled her to offer support to birthing and breastfeeding/pumping clients who may be experiencing things not going according to plan.
Rebecca has worked at WIC as a peer breastfeeding counselor, became a Virginia state-certified community doula in 2023, and then sat for and passed her IBCLC exam in 2024. She is so excited to offer support to expectant and new parents to meet their feeding goals.
